BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has been taken to the old central jail of Nazimuddin Road after receiving a five-year jail term in the case of corruption case. According to the court sources, there is no possibility of obtaining a certified copy on Sunday before the verdict on Thursday. That is why it is not possible to appeal before Khaleda Zia before that day.
Following the verdict, lawyers of Khaleda Zia appearing in court said the verdict was biased. They will appeal against the verdict on Sunday.

On Wednesday, new CC cameras were installed around the old central prison in Nazimuddin Road. RAB and police have been deployed. Public movement has been tightly imposed.
Approximately one and a half years ago, after the transfer of the prisoners from the old prison in step to a new Central prison in Keraniganj, it is now apparently empty. Members of the RAB's Civil Team placed CC cameras on the electricity board adjacent to the old reception hall of the prison on Wednesday noon.
A source said that Khaleda Zia will be kept in a central prison jail at a day-care center. Additional 10 prison guards have been deployed there. Besides, two deputy jellars have been accommodated inside and outside. Among them, the women will stay outside the jail of the district and outside the male district.
