Dubai will store DNA data of 30 million people

The United Arab Emirates has been informed by the United Arab Emirates that all the residents of the Dubai city will have DNA tests and their genetic information will be preserved. The Bio-database created with this result of DNA tests will be analyzed using artificial intelligence, which will provide improved health care to residents (citizen non-citizen) in Dubai.

Another task of Dubai Genomics will be to work with a variety of pharmaceutical companies, in order to create personalized medicine according to genetic profiles.
According to the Department of Health of the United Arab Emirates, there are about 220 hereditary diseases in the country, which is responsible for 70 percent under 6 years of child mortality.
It is known that the first phase of Dubai Genomics will continue for the next two years. However, it is not known what kind of measures will be taken to protect the privacy of such sensitive information.
